Investor Guidelines
1. Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS) Security Rules
Keep your DIS booklet safely and NEVER sign or issue blank or incomplete DIS slips.
- Verify that your DIS booklet contains 10 leaves and mention your correct 16-digit Client ID.
- Specify the exact ISIN and quantity in figures and words to prevent manual alteration.
- Ensure you receive an acknowledgment copy for every DIS submitted at our desk.
2. Account Opening, Verification & Standing Instructions
- Submit only self-attested copies of PAN, Address Proof, and Canceled Cheques for account opening.
- Verify that your bank account is correctly mapped for automated credit of dividends and corporate action payouts.
- Grant standing instructions for credits during onboarding to ensure seamless automated receipts of securities.
3. Appointment of Nominee
Nomination is mandatory for all individual demat accounts to safeguard your legacy and enable smooth transfer of holdings. You can appoint up to three nominees and specify the percentage share for each individual appointee. The signature of all joint holders is required to register or modify a nomination on his/her demat record.
4. Scope & Implications of Power of Attorney / DDPI
Providing a Power of Attorney (POA) or Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI) is optional and limits DP authority to authorized sales only. These documents are specifically executed to facilitate the delivery of securities toward settlement of exchange transactions. Clients can revoke their POA or DDPI at any time by submitting a standard revocation form at our regional registered office.
5. Direct CDSL Monitoring via SMART & EASI
Register for CDSL's 'EASI' facility to view your demat account balance and transaction history directly via the web without broker intervention. Enable 'SMART' SMS alerts through CDSL to receive instant notifications on your registered mobile number for all debit transactions.
6. Allotments, Corporate Actions & Statements
Check your demat account for credit of bonus shares, rights, and stock splits within the record dates specified by the company. All corporate action benefits like dividends are credited directly by the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) to your mapped bank account. Review your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) sent monthly by CDSL to verify the integrity and accuracy of your total holdings.
